What makes a good SL event? Willing to pay for hosting help.

I'm from There and hosting seems to be a diferent beast in SL. With scripting possiblities making event ideas limitless. I know free money brings in people, but fun keeps them coming back.
What kind of events do you personaly like to attend, and why?

Now to the actual point of my post...

My friend celia Clio has 14K sq. m. of land and has done a wonderful job designing a beautiful and relaxing landscape. She calls her getaway 'Enchanted forest' and its on the Dalton sim. <I>I recommend to people who enjoy exploring to visit.</I>
Celia needs help getting started hosting quality pg rated events and is willing to pay the right person for thier hosting expertise.
She has 977 objects left so events centered around games with a relatively large prim count should be ok, (I think lol.)

Please IM celia Clio if you would like to help her get started in the SL community by hosting events on her land.

Well personally I find that having a bit of variety in sl is nice. There are way too many bingo games, too many clubs doing the sexy avie contest etc... If its differant, i usually go, at least to check it out.

Events that people are actually *there*

Bingo/Trivia's : yes... Bingo i thought id never go to these. Social games.
But prices are much higher then any events out there, i seen from 500-5000$ and ..omg people actually talk.

Builder/Texture/Clothingevents : Also nice , i personally forget to go though.

Fashion Shows : ummm..... what can i say, i barly been to them.

Photoshop/Painter/Art : These contests i like, but raaaarly see, to bad , alot of creative artists in here.
Again another vote contest


Events that usually leads to no one talking , or doing anything

Raffles : leads to afkers just standing there doing no talking what so ever
Dont get me wrong, i go there to sooometimes, but you dont have to be present wich can be kinda boring if you want to talk to someone.

Win by voting : leads to groups targeting one of their friends and magically wins
(i personally rarly go to any vote events, i seen this happen way to much)


Things i would like to see? , not sure if they can be done, but someone will eventually.
Golf/Sport/something : oh yeah RL i hate sports, but on a computer its entertaining, wonder how many hours i spendt on golfing here , hehe
Tag/Paintball : These do exsist, but i see very rare nowadays eh,, anyone?
Roleplaying : uh yeah you know AD&D , Cyberpunk , CoC, Gurps, ectectect so many - yesss im a roleplayer, i got alot of these P&P, hehe, this could be done realllly big, or just in imagination, however these would last way longer then any events would though and require people who plays.

Thumbs up to Darklife (eh that was the name right, attension span of a moth) - very creative and i know a few more comming

Ummm i know i have more idea's but offcourse my brain took a vacation when i tried to write this - .
