Questions about fee-based training and copyrights

Hello folks,

A noob question here, from a real noob.

In RL, I manage a community college workforce training department. We do free and fee-based training in all kinds of things, from hazardous waste handling to Flash and Photoshop courses.

I became interested in SL because of its training and education possibilities, and of course, there are the commercial possibilities too. I've piqued the interest of the person who handles all our multimedia training, and she's curious about how training for a fee is/can be handled SL, and how the copyrights for that coursework is maintained by the training provider (i.e, us...) . Much of what she offers is fee-based training because it's related to the latest in media software (i.e, Adobe products, Final Cut Pro, Solidworks, etc.).

I've tried to find information on SL's website that might provide some pointers for her, but haven't had any luck. Can anyone answer those questions, or refer me to a good source for those answers?
