I have just created a message board for the Art & Artist Network! group:

Several months ago I founded the "Art & Artist Network!" group as a way for artists, gallery owners, and art lovers to communicate. Most other Art groups out there weren't very keen on group chat/spam, and the need/demand for an announcement-only group was brought up at one of the Art Gallery Owners meetings, so I took the initiative.
It has become HUGELY successful and has grown more rapidly than I could have imagined -- as I type this, we have 893 members. The premise is simple: Join for free, open enrollment, all members have the ability to create group notices. It's been a great way for the Art world in SL to really come together.
However, in larger groups, Group Notices have a lot of trouble getting through. I personally have sent multiple attempts before, and it seems that only some people get the message. It's frustrating as hell.
This lead me to create the message board. Instead of, or in addition to, sending group notices, members can post their events to the forums.
Please join if you are interested, or please help spread the word if you think you know someone who might be. I hope that this forum becomes as successful (if not more so) than the group itself.
