Well not quite a lindenaire Who would be interested in entering this sort of event? We could get a number of people down to enter along the same sort of rules as who wants to be a millionaire. Get someone in the hotseat to answer 10 questions up to $2000 (just a guess at the moment) Should be able to squeeze a few people in each session. Q6 could be a safe point where you can't lose it. Q1 - $25 Q2 - $50 Q3 - $100 Q4 - $200 Q5 - $300 Q6 - $500 Q7 - $750 Q8 - $1000 Q9 - $1500 Q10 - $2000

Yeah I would be up for it, and I wouldn't mind contributing or holding it on my sim

LOL! I'm UK too, but most of SL is American, sooooooo you would need to broaden your horizons on the questions, maybe hold a Brit themed one, or a Sports themed one, make them into themes

Sounds like fun!! Speaking of themes, have a "how much do you know about the other" theme, put an intercultural spin to it. That way you can ask us yanks questions and we can ask you brits questions and we will see how much one really knows about the other LOL I think it would be hilarious and a good time for all.

haha. I hosted Simeonnaire in The Sims Online three years back.
It was a huge hit in TSO and fun hosting it too. I agree having a themed (ie: Sports, SL History to name a few) Who wants to be a Lindennaire will be more interesting plus you may be able to get various hosts to do the themed Lindennaire.
I'd love to host a event or two myself.

FYI: Payment Podium at the Shelter
03-18-2005 10:25
There is currently a game like "who wants to be a millionaire" being held at the Shelter called "Payment Podium"
Not sure of the times or days but should be showing up in events. It's time is good for USA time.
No reason we can't have more tough! Especially for other world time zones.

Jonathan - one more thing... we have volunteers from the UK that staff the Shelter in the mornings SL Time. If you wanted to use our setup that we use for Payment Podium (We have a full stage set - similar to a game show), I'd absolutely *love* to offer a more UK-friendly version of the game during the day. I could just never do it because I'm in the US, and work in RL during the day. Someone motivated as you are would be incredible At bare minimum - stop by this Sunday if you can, and see how we work it. If it's intriguing to you, contact me in-game.... I'd love to work with you on it Travis

Right looks like this WILL go ahead tonight for a test run. No venue as of yet but as Willow responded 1st i will give her 1st refusal to hold it on her land. It will be about 4pm SL time i think and i will post it later on when i have more details.
What about Rules etc?
Three secondlifelines
- Ask the audience (ask anyone there if they know the answer) - 50/50 - Phone a Friend??? This could be changed to Google a Answer?? More Time??
This test run won't have a theme but it will be for money just don't expect it to run to pro yet.
And Travis ill drop by the shelter tonight and check it out, im sure ive been there before and would be great to hold an even there sometime.

You are more than welcome to hold it in Slootsville, I will add yo uto the events list when I get home so you can post about it If you want to pop over to the sim you can choose where to hold it, if its not suitable its cool, we are in the midst of a sim rehaul Just let me know either way

Lindenaire!
04-21-2005 14:32
I *really* want to try a game like Who Wants to Be a Lindenaire! If anyone runs a game like this, would you be so kind as to put the word "lindenaire" somewhere in the event description, so that it will be easy to search for. Thanks, and I hope to see you there!

Hi David - I run an event called "Payment Podium" - which is similar who wants to be a millionaire. Putting "Lindenaire" into the event listing might not be a bad idea - I'll try to do that Its at the Shelter every Sun/Tues/Thurs at 7. Tonight's game will likely be a little different - but all depends on whether our regular host (Sumar) gets her computer issues sorted Travis
