Event posts without host

I often see some 3 hour events where people just announce their self-paced presenter tutorials or other stuff that is on display in their shop or at the place.

I'm not sure, but it seems that this is not really an event, especially if it's posted under categors "Education". I tried to do this myself and got a complaint from somebody that this is not correct and that she has reported me to Linden Lab for abusing the events.

It seems, that Linden Lab does not care very much on these sort of "events", so I'm a bit confused if it's okay to announce self-paced tutorials there. I also think it's not correct to post them there, but if nobody cares, I would suffer from not posting them when my competitors get their sales from event posts, so what do you think?

Just like LL added "Live Performance" as a category, they can add a category for these un-hosted activities. Perhaps thinking more about customer service and seeing what the customer may need as opposed to enforcing rules that undermine the customer is a better way to go.

It's not really an event IMO but it does sound like there does need to be a way to advertise for these besides the Special Attractions forum.

Strife!

I think you almost agreed with me. Must be early April Fool's Day.
