Hey everybody!

I was reading through some posts in the Event Forum, and noticed a somewhat common theme of 'if I had space to run an event...'

Well, I DO have space to run an event, and it's available for people to use for free. The only condition is that event will have to be scheduled with me, so I can avoid conflicts and post to the event system.

The Pumacity Convention Center is located in Pumacity (oddly enough), which is wholly owned by me, so you don't have to worry about the obnoxious neighbor syndrome. I have three isolated event spaces (so there's no crosstalk between them) and four smaller exhibition spaces that can be used for longer-term events such as art shows and the like. Feel free to walk around and check it out, or IM me for a guided tour and demonstration of the facilities.

I've been advertising for like a week, and already have three groups booking events there, so I'm guessing there really is a demand for it. To make it a little easier, I'm going to set up the web page tonight as a sort of virtual tour.

I don't pretend that having an event there will get your more participation, since I don't have dance poles or camping chairs (and won't), but I wanted everybody to know that not having land shouldn't be an issue any more. I WANT the event system to be revived, I just can't do it all myself.

And, just to remain on topic:
Saturday, Dec 31 @ 8:30PM - West Event Hall - Second Life Times NEWSWORTHY 2005 Awards

Coming Soon:

FYI, I put up a basic webpage for the PCC. Still not the same as looking (well, don't look RIGHT now, I'm cleaning up the rentals next door), but it's a start, I think.

Pumacity an attractive venue

I visited Pumacity, evaluating for a venue for Bladderball (in development -- see /165/df/80428/1.html#post827752). A lovely, open sim with low buildings and good speed.

Casey was especially helpful and creative. She immediately understood the Bladderball concept and stopped her work to toy with a few experiments and offer her help. An excellent venue with an excellent administrator.

Do check it out.
