Been searching the threads here and haven't found what templates will work with The Gimp program. Please help a beginner out! Was told the original Linden templates work but have not found the download for them-thanks for any and all help!

GIMP can utilize all the same template files that Photoshop can.

Check the stickies at the top of this forum........specifically the second one down from the top by Chip Midnight. The templates he made are much much better than the templates the Second Life puts out.
GIMP can open Photsshop files...........in fact, I believe GIMP can open any file that Photoshop can open. At least, I've not found one it cannot. |

Download the files and unzip them to a folder of your choice ( have a folder named "templates" for mine). Put that folder where you can easily find it. Then once you launch GIMP go to "file" and choose "open"..........navigate to your folder and open the template you want to use. It will open in a separate window called the "image window".......where you will work on whatever it is you want to make.
