I call your attention to this thread which is in the land management forum (even though it has nothing to do with that) and thus, can't be commented on. But it should be! Consider these quotes: From: someone "it seems that because some jerk-off told us you were a teenager in the adult grid, we have put your account on hold pending verification of age" *this is the part where i throw my computer into the wall like the hulk screaming "WHAT!!!!!" *... ok.. no biggie.. just make another account* .... i go do that... ..... couple days later..... that account gets banned.. and From: someone ok... so i do admit i'm a teen... who cares... really.. as squall murakami, i was arguably one of the best builders in the whole of secondlife..... yeah.. your trying to "keep sl's teen population safe" .. what a crock of shit that is.... yeah, i'l go to the teen secondlife grid, NEVER..... no guns..... no gambling... no sex..... who gives a fuck, i grew up in vegas.

I would of thought it was one thread they would of wanted to leave open. It actually shows something being done correctly by SL. The got the teen out and are keeping him out. They should check the age of the girlfriend too.

Lewis Anshe let her friend use her account a few times before also. I IMed a Linden and they said that rule was only there to exempt them from any responsibility if anything happens to the account. Another odd thing: My friend wanted to transfer an account to me, so we decided to email LL and ask them if they would approve of this. They said no. Under what circumstances are people allowed to do this? (I.E. Anshe buying content creator accounts)

First off, the forums were never really your "voice" {except for feedback forums}, cause for the most part Lindens don't actually read the forums. So unless you consider random bitching and moaning at a brick wall your "voice", you won't be missing much. I think ALOT of people fail to understand that. Second, communication is what they are attempting to do apon forum closure, if you read their outlook that they put in the announcement. I don't care rather you think it will work or not, but it sure as hell isn't going to help to complain about it. Thirdly, your first name is lowercase. |
