Its fine, it's just unethical to create the exact same object, then market and sell it as an original design. Making your own personal house, for your own use, is no one's business anyway.

In fact I would say it's a good way to practice. Think of it as trying paint-by-numbers before becoming a full fledged artist.  If you're making something for only yourself and have no plans to profit off of it then it's just practice. |
