Missing Inventory

Has anyone else had problems with inventory this weekend?

I Logged on last night to find all loose inventory gone.
Which means anything in it's own folder is ok. But if there were loose items and a subfolder in a main folder, the loose items are gone.

Not too long ago, I had worked on sorting my inventory till I got sick of it, so I was luckier than I could have been. But I had a long way to go.

My Item count after over 2 years had gone up to 20K+ but I had wittled it down to 17K+.
Last night I had 9K+.

All calling cards but a few I had put in folders for group IM's to friends...Gone
Textures and Objects not categorized yet...Gone
Recent content I have been working on...All Gone
You get the idea.

When I logged on this morning my loose textures in my texture folder were back :) But as far as I can tell only textures came back, and still not sure if all did as I keep some in other folders too. :(

I know it won't be the end of my SL world or my business, But the time and cost involved in retrieving content from vendors, re-uploading textures, and rebuilding objects I was working on baffles me to think about.

Another thing that has been happening lately is, I crash often when going into appearance.

Oh well, SL goes on.....I've filed a bug report, now all I can do is wait and hope.

Just wondered if I was alone or maybe others just hadn't discovered a loss yet.

Oh my.

I've not had that nor have I heard complaints. Hopefully it's some sort of communications error - where your inventory IS all there, but failed to load to your client.

If I were you, I'd clear my cache and log back in.

I've had the opposite oddity - I had no subfolders, only items in the top folder level.

After about twenty minutes in-game, the subfolders appeared.

I too hope that it was a client loading problem for you. High packet loss can have this effect.

Yeah I often have to wait for loose stuff to appear.

Try re-installing, etc.

Please keep us updated if you can't restore your inventory, though.

WOOOT!!!
I got my missing items back !

Thank you Jillian :) I cleared my cahe and it did the job. I hadn't thought of that as I do clear it off and on.
I had thought about reinstalling, but it's such a pain in the butt getting back to normal after, that I was gonna try as a last resort.

Thanks guys for the great advice!! I feel normal again LOL
