Yep, that's their vacation but most people get rich working for a living and have other responsibilities keeping around the homefront. It's called cocconing; they make their home a personal playland and buy all the latest toys even if they don't know what to do with them.

For some, yes. But only if it's fun, Juani, only if it's fun.

If I had my pick of a successful entertainer to come to SL it would be Weird Al.

This nutty place would perfect for his act.

They should feel guilty about sucking up all the L$ when there are a bunch of poor people who need it more than the rich ones do.

:O

I found Gallagher funny... apart from the whole "smashing watermelons" part, which is pretty sacrilegious to me. "Don't let the holy food go to waste!" I say. But does Mr. Gallagher listen? NO!

Weird Al has looked like Howard Stern's brother for the last few years.

Maybe we can get a twofer combo.

LMAO. I never noticed that, but they do! Except I think Wierd Al's humor is a bit more sophisticated and higher-brow than Howards, I can't seem them doing a radio show or touring together any time soon.

I figure Weird Al is fairly well off, and I find his lyrics pretty amusing and the music really excellent. So were he and the band to come here, I think they would be in the category of "rich and talented". One video had a cartoon of Jed Clampett with the words of the Beverly Hillbillies theme to the tune of "I want My MTV". That seems exactly like Second Life to me.

I believe we had a "poor and talentless" thread a while back, now we have the "poor and talented" thread, so I felt we should strive for symmetry and completeness and thus added the "rich and talented" thread.

I would add the "rich and talentless" thread but I figure land traders take enough heat as it is without me setting up a straight line like that.
