Here are some bugs I noticed within just 5 mins in preview.
1. Object "Copy Selection" is not working. (Milo Linden already filed this as a bug).
2. Enter to type is not working.
3. Selected object cannot be deleted by pressing del.
If we get more people on preview, bugs like these and others could hopefully be fixed before the 6th. Right now it's painful to build with this preview.

I think keybindings are foobar'ed that's why esc, enter to type, del key selected object is probably not working now.

Please People Test This Release
09-04-2006 10:12
IMHO this version is a mess, e.g. dialog boxes don't work anymore.
If people don't test this, LL may actually put it up which IMHO would be a disaster.

Things like whatever you are editing in Edit Appearance doesn't always show up. Want to edit that shirt? You'll be lucky if you can see your torso!
And the baked on undies bears repeating... They are ugly, but fortunately, they are a bug.
There's a lot of bugs. I'm just testing clothing designs while I'm learning the lower body template, and I've reported a quite a few bugs.

Add take off all clothes and detach all to the list. All prim items detach but clothes stay baked on. No, I am not a freak. I was checking to see if the underwear bake on issue reproduced for me. EDIT: You now see to have to log out then back in to see clothes updates. When I logged out, then in I had baked on underwear. Then I put on clothes and no change. Logging out and then in showed up the changes. It doesn't work in real time though. Please let this just be a grid issue. If this thing releases like this on Wed. there is going to be an uproar. Don't be surprised if the forum closure happens at the same time as this update if they know of all this and still release it.

Has anyone noticed that since the last update whenever you're building something if you click on a box (like the X,Y,Z location/rotation/distance parametres) it no longer automatically highlights everything? it used to. now I'm reduced to pressing ctrl+A.

I just got back a slew of bug report follow-ups by Milo Linden. All say: From: someone Thanks for the report
Known Issue
Milo.
Very encouraging because that shows they at least know about them. Hopefully they will be fixed or the update is delayed until they are.

Heh, isn't it ironic? As the Linux client gets more features, the Windows client gets more bugs. I've tried to repro several of the bugs in this thread, to no avail.

How could code messed up so badly, with the problems being so easily discoverable- unavoidable, really - possibly be released, even as a preview?
This isn't a gripe. I really don't understand the process. Would they make changes to the code and compile it and put in on a public preview without spending ten minutes total man-hours testing it first?
Oh well, I don't need to understand.

Hopefully all this came about because they're finally getting around to building in the ability to remap keys?

I won't be testing this one. I'm tired of wasting my time reporting stuff then LL totally ignoring it. I've got better things to do with my time than test stuff they won't fix till it creates an uproar on the maingrid.

The baked-on undies.. imagine that hitting the main grid. Ouch, I'd almost feel sorry for the Lindens.

I've gotten the same, it would be nice if they posted them so people wouldn't waste time duplicating known bugs.

I reported a bunch of land-related bugs a couple of days ago. One came back from Milo with "known issue"; the others were all "bug entered". So I guess we haven't found ALL the problems yet.
