ok, I may have missed some vital notes in weeks past, but after searching I've only come up with Rippling water textures thus far. tonight while i was checking out my Avatar i noticed my crotch having strange gyrating convulsions my clothing have always been stationary in the most SL sense. but i've never noticed such activity in the nether regions. So I panned in closer to my trouser and then down to the ankles and yes, the cuffs were subtly rippling. now correct me if I'm worng but aren't animated textures other than those limited to prims an effect of vertex shaders as in SL water? If you don't believe my claim or are completely lost please see the movie i filmed of it in action. http://www.garhunt.com/hunter188/assets/multimedia/AnimatedClothes_2006-09-05_23-37-49-92.avi.MOV*Note: Yes i relogged and upon doing so my pants and clothing had taken on the clothing to skin bug, so I cleared the cache, relogged and the rippling was back with proportionate pants once again on my legs.

I think it's a vertex shading or something or other option in the preferences.

In prefs, "graphics detail" tab, "Avatar rendering" section, "Bump mapped and cloth" - the "cloth" bit means loose clothing flutters in the wind. I've always liked it.

Just on a side note Jillian, Bump Mapped and Cloth do effect this but the only problem (and source of confusion on my part) is i had Normal checked whereas the other two options where greyed out ( and those are only greyed out if all of the upper three are unticked, yet they were ticked)
So i'm now wondering if it might be a graphics card issue.

Ah that.
I had noticed it when I first returned to SL from my 2 year hiatus. My jean cuffs had never fluttered when I was flying before and I thought it was weird.

Actually, I believe if you look closer you will se that your Avatar was excited and sprouting genitals. Secret upgrade feature to go with the perma underwear.
