my problem is that with the free registration system there is no security: - there is teen grid and main grid, we all know that kids that are underage will lie about there age and with no ID then there is no way to check ...also, i run a RP sim that is mature in nature and i dont want irate parents complaining about the fact they dont like what is said or done there when they should not be there in the first place..with all due respect to kids ( not all are bad ) but most will go getting the biggest weapons they can find and shoot just about anyone they see and cause mayhem in the main grid and to me this is seems like a bad idea..we all want to be able to play and enjoy SL but if this continues there will be an influx of kids on the main grid and nothing will be able to be done once the accounts are created.

Put a sound file of a 70 kHz tone on your land. Drives the kids cray-zee.

Unless they just mute the sound, because 90% of the sounds in SL are absurdly loud gestures or bullets.

Oh, and 70KHz is well above the range of human hearing. Try 20KHz.

also if you get kids in the main grid..you have the possibility of kids in adult situations with adults and possibly getting abused. Children need to be separated from the adult sims...there is no way to do this now.

igh::: yes, I tested the Mosquito on myself last night. I went into Adobe Audition and produced a pure sine wave tone of A = 440. Then I bumped it up to 880 and got, of course, an A an octave higher. Then I went up to 1000 hz (1 khz) and started going up by 1 khz increments. When I went from 11khz to 12khz I suddenly couldn't hear the pitch any more.

I must be OLD!!!! None of the swingin' chicks will dig me no more!
