Anyone else have the perception LL does not play by it's own rules, and that there is inconsistant enforcement of the TOS?

They seem to be somewhat consisitent about shutting down threads. Lately all I hear is about inconsistent enforcement, and how content creators are getting itchy under the collar. If someone popped up with another virtual world promising backups and better TOS enforcement, LL might take a hit in new players.
I'd really like to see LL start acting like it's not the only game in town (although, it is for now) and start fronting itself as if a competitive threat is already here. Start promising reliability, stop leaving users in the dark about plans, and give us a reason not to jump ship to the next guy that comes along. |

I've yet (in my 30-- um, plus years) to come across any business or government entity which doesn't seriously bend and/or outright break its own rules in certain situations. If the entity, in this case, Linden Lab, determines that ignoring a certain rule or policy is in its best interest, I'm sure it will do it in a heartbeat.
Will it hurt them in the long run? No; otherwise, I doubt they'd do it. *shrug* _____________________

There's no such thing as 100% consistancy. Sincerely doubtful that this will hurt their bottom line.
