Are any shops owners changing their shop designs to take advantage of the new occlusion culling to enhance their customer experiences and increasing fps?
I'll personally be experimenting with eye 'blinkers' like those used on race horses to increase framerates when flying around.

I, like many others, cant afford a card that supports all these nifty features - or in my specific case I only have pci slots no agp or pci express so cant use one even if I could afford it. So no

i tried the simpliest way, i put up a huge giant 20+m wall all along 2 sides of my land and then teleported to that spot, if it was working as good as they said, i wouldnt have an real lag looking at wall since not seeing anything yet, but on my mini map i saw everything behind wall materialize, along with small lag. but it was only in shape of cone that rotates on map. its more limited then before when whole map did, but walls didnt stop it like they said it would, at least not for me.

From: Elvawin Rainbow I, like many others, cant afford a card that supports all these nifty features - or in my specific case I only have pci slots no agp or pci express so cant use one even if I could afford it. So no OC doesn't use your graphics card, it removes things you can't actually see based on their size/shape and then don't render them. My house/shop (still unopened, blargh!) already had occlussion culling windows (invisi-prim on one side) before it went live, 40fps+ inside now opposed to 12, WOOT! Also anything I build is designed to take maximum advantage of it. From: Danielz Shackle but walls didnt stop it like they said it would, at least not for me. Enable the debug menu (Ctrl-option-shift-d iirc) and go into Debug >> Rendering >> Info Displays >> Octree, it shows you what is being culled. Things behind your wall SHOULD be culled, but it's possible there are things higher up that are not?
