Ok, after a week in SL I'm finally encountering some of the bad elements. Some idiots seem to have decided that shooting at me is a fun game. They're in a building called Sky Raider Secret Army or something stupid and they've done it two days in a row. Today was more sustained and another neighbour got shot at. What's the best way to deal with this? I sent an abuse report today but as there is very little evidence I doubt much will come of it. I did add a screenshot but it just showed the yellow line of a gunfire. The people shooting are too far away to get on the pic. I have banned he people involved from my land, will that keep out their bullets too? As I am opening a shop there soon this could be more than a bit of a nuisance.

Not much will keep their bullets out, but if you haven't already or can, set your parcel to disable push and then turn on the auto return for 1 minute. That will make sure their bullets, if they aren't temp on rez, will wind up right in their folder and the system spam to go with it.
Also, keep AR'ing.

Here is a suggestion: Set your land to no-script and turn OFF auto-return. You can still run scripts all you want, but no one else can. Many bullets are scripted. When they hit a no script, they travel for just a little bit (the physics), then stop in mid-air. With Auto-return turned OFF, they remain. You can then click them open with edit, and get the name of the bullet owner as well as a screen shot for your AR.
Now mind you, not all bullets work this way. But griefers tend to use that freebie garbage and those bullets usually do stay.

Thanks I'll try that Stephanie and Raudf. I doubt they're using anything sophisticated. My neighbour tried talking to them and they didn't strike me as intellectual heavyweights.
