I think lots of us are looking for those.

Do what I did: Have a job in real life, buy some Second Life money with real life money, and kick back in SL having a good time.

Good luck with that.

Go forage ants and worms from an oak tree, then sell them.

Oh christ, the forums are going to be flooded with cleverly named alts.

That's great it starts with an earthquake...

And even more not-so-cleverly named ones...

And we're going to have a shortage of ants and worms, it seems.

Edit: Well, at least we won't have floods AND pestilence.

Some good may come of it then. I hate ants. Worms I'm ok with, however.

Hi Pecker!

The people who make good money in SL are the ones that have taken the plunge and created their own jobs. If there's something you love to create or a service you enjoy providing, and you take the time & effort to learn to do it well, and it's something that you suspect people want, you will get noticed!

BUT... you do have to love what you do. If your only concern is earning a significant amount of money, you won't find what you're looking for here. Money can be a good motivator, but in a setting such as SL it's not enough on its own.

Now, it's quite possible that this isn't the path for you. The big-time producers make up only a small fraction of the SL resident population, simply because relatively few people have both the ability and the desire to undertake such projects. Don't be too quick to rule out the possibility, though... start with something small, and see where it takes you. You may decide it's just not something you're down with. Or you may end up surprising yourself!

Good luck, whatever you do. :)

Well at least he started with an apology straight off. Best to get it out of the way now, since you know you're going to do something wrong eventually (yea, begge for forgiveness lest ye incur the awesome wrathe of Lagnor ;)

Seriously though, there are a lot of interesting things to see just by wandering around the place. Talk to some people in world and you'll have little problem.

Since it doesn't cost anything to maintain an SL account, there's no real hurry to do 'work'. Have a look at all the freebie stuff like at Yadni's Junkyard. I think I found a landmark to it while I was at FairChang Island. Btw, if you're in SL expressly to make money, it's a long way to the top, just like rock and roll. Chances are you're better off doing what Enabran suggests.
Anyway, I don't want to discourage. Explore and Enjoy!
