Do the LL blog pages require being logged in with your name and password or are they viewable by anyone and anyone can log in using any name and an easily acquired email address?
Not having logins means it should be possible to use RSS readers on them. Are there any RSS readers that have good text search mechanisms, like boolean logic searches?

Yep, no login needed. I use Google's IG to place it on my homepage.
Torley likes Sage, but I don't know about it.

Torley mentioned that she is using Sage as the RSS reader for the blogs. I do not have this installed yet, so I am unsure about the boolean searches.
