Cross Posting this from Products Wanted because I know all of you hang out here!

Hi all

My hubby is the most wonderful man I have met here, and I want to show it to him this year. Our first year together, we showered each other with wonderful gifts to each other like crazy. Since then, he has his own store, and he makes for me anything I want-he is so talented and can make anything and I can't It has been impossible to buy for him!

Last Christmas, we both fell in love with an original limited 30 copies only designer dress. He said it was too expensive, and we entered a raffle many times for it. He kept raving about how he wanted me to have it but it was too expensive. We were going to be apart for the Christmas holidays but together on New Years, so I bought the dress (he got lots of other gifts) to surprise him and wear it on New Years, when we would be together again. Well, before I flew out before Christmas, he insisted he wanted to have my gift-it was the beautiful dress that he paid a fortune for-the same one I purchased to surprise him (and yes, he got many gifts from me).

I immediately contacted the original designer and she agreed we would keep it quiet-that my hubby would never know I bought the the same item he did for me. In the meantime, I used a partial credit at the store, and was told by the designer she would make two outfits for him to compensate, to match my original outfit.

Well, it is a year later and still no outfit. I reminded the designer about it and was quite crappy about it this summer when I had a bad week. I apologized once I heard she was trying and could not get it right and had a lot going on. Even before and since this time, the designer is someone whom I feel is a friend-she has been so gracious giving me her new products and things (well beyond the initial gift value) and my husband is aware she sends me thing all the time just not why-but he knows I asked her to make these outfits for him and he is upset he is not getting anything-he thinks I have not paid her anything yet. He has no clue I also bought the dress. Should I tell him? I would much rather have the gifts for him as originally promised, and I guess I have not been forceful enough. He most likely believes I have no money down on this and I have just given up and its not important to me, when it very much so is. Guys if you were in my husband's shoes: would you rather hear I bought the same item my husband was so thrilled to give me and be disappointed I bought it for myself at the same time or should I fess up and tell him that I bought the same dress and tried to trade for the outfits which he has been expecting for a year?I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. No, my husband does not read the boards, so its safe to discuss here. Thank you for any input you can give to me.

Sooo..I am looking for a designer that can make a Pharoah costume with an authentic headress for my husband before Christmas. He has waited a year with no luck Plus I want to spoil him rotten this year for putting up with me So please share your unique gift ideas I can give him in this thread! It's so hard buying for a person who can make anything-I am open to all suggestions!

Happy Holidays all!

Nothing says 'I love you' like an anal bleaching table.
(not sure if it comes in festive colors though)
