Hello,

Very new obviously, not sure if this is the right place for this but, I've been looking around at the various clubs. Are there clubs that specialize in ball room or slow dancing? Haven't really seen any yet and was just wondering. I find it hard to beleive in this creative world that there are not any.

Thanks

Just set your computer to "Massive Lag Mode" and everyone will be slow dancing everywhere.

This is one of those things that hasn't been explored enough here Tristan. You make a very valid observation... a warm welcome to SL, BTW. :)

I have seen some beautiful ballrooms, just not a lot of dancing in them: Cristiano Midnight's mansion in Mavericks is one, and the other is the Verloren sim, a castle constructed by the classy Versu Richelieu.

One perhaps controversial point here is that the dancing events themselves would likely have to be accompanied by something added attraction to draw crowds from afar: for example, a charity auction or contest of some kind. Most dance clubs in SL have big money balls and prizes to award, which is a draw for many L$-hunting Resis. Understandably, big $$$ signs might seem out of place in a historically-accurate, old skool ballroom.

you could also bring your own slow dance poseballs for you and your partner to anywhere!!!
some of my favorite SL memories are dancing in unlikely spots!

Cocktails Ballroom and Wedding Chapel is a beautiful place for ballroom dancing.

Wow,

Thanks for the responses, even the whitty ones:)

Excuse my ignorance again but...

Anyone know where I could find slow dance pose balls? The only ones I have found so far are rather...mature in nature. Would a 'find' for pose balls do the trick?

Oh and BTW so far I have found this community to be much, Much, MUCH nicer than previous MMO's I've played with! A credit to this community in my opinion.

Try Little Rebel in Gallinas and look for Siggy Romulus' stuff upstairs. He has a splendid slow dance.
