The recent earthquake in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan has left over 20,000 people dead and millions homeless. I have seen no mention of it in the forums, so I am curious if anyone will be hosting fundraisers to help send money. I know people are weary after back to back hurricanes in the US, but the situation is as dire for these people as for those in New Orleans. The American Red Cross is coordinating efforts with India's Red Cross and Pakistan's Red Crescent to help provide aid, so donations the the Red Cross will help in the efforts. If anyone is hosting any fundraising events in world, please let me know - I will provide advertising space for the event on Snapzilla. Donations can also be given to the American Red Cross directly at http://www.redcross.org.

I can't even get people to sign up for Katrina relief fundraisers, and may have to cancel my event for it because of that. Adding another one on top if it would be more ambitious and dissappointing than I care to spend my time doing.

Yes, I don't have details yet but we will be having an event at Gold Coast in the next few days. I'll let you know the details. I also want to help promote any other events as well. The outpouring of generosity in our community for various things in the past few months was a fantastic thing to see, and hopefully it will continue even though the impact is not so immediate.
