What Vares said - it's 168 individuals and groups chosen by lottery to participate in a large-scale art festival in a twelve-sim desert that will culminate in a "Burning the Man" party September 15 and end on September 18 when all the sims get wiped clean...

To get there in-world, click the map and do a region search for Burning, and all twelve sims should appear, each name starting with Burning Life...

There are close to 500 snapshots from Burning Life 2006 so far on Snapzilla, along with 800 images from last year's event.

It is hard to explain what Burning LIfe is - basically you have expressions of art that will only be there for a short time (through September 18th) and then it is all destroyed. Some of it is bizarre, some of it is beautiful, all of it is fascinating to experience.
