~sigh~ Wishful thinking. I think its kind of common practice now for companies to postpone update deployments.

I was rather expecting 1.7 to be out this week also, but now I've fallen it back to predict it early next month or something like that. Giving the hints from the developers about it.

I note that the Lindens aime to close down the classifieds at the end of the month, because with 1.7, they're obsolete. I may be wrong, but I read that as 1.7 being out on or about the end of the month.

Residents born before September 20, 2005 can download the SecondLife Preview viewer from http://secondlife.com/preview/ and join us in the Preview grid for some testing fun. If you find a problem, use the Help menu > Report Bug option to report the issue to us automatically.

Personally I think it was a mistake to say they were going to release it this week. Unless they know for sure it's going in tomorrow, they should have not said anything, or phrased it like "We are planning to release 1.7 very soon."

1.7 might be having a bad (hootchie) hair day or playing hard to get. Don't take it personally just yet, Paulie. Initial impressions are important and, fyi, showing up on the 2nd date with bed head is not a smooth move.

(Btw, I'm going to mind my own business and not ask if !.7 puts out on the first date.)

Ack! Paulie - I was speaking with 1.6 today - you know... about havok 2, object to object communication, XML-RPC... you know, that kind of imaginary stuff.

Well, 1.6 said he was talking to 1.7, and 1.7 said she got your message, but she's been really, really distracted. She said she really likes you, but um.... she's been spending a lot of time with this guy Kona. It might be getting serious, man!

I hate to provide a meaningful reply, but one of the Lindens just posted that the major bugs in 1.7 were worked out and they hope to have it out bright and early Monday morning. You can find this post in the 1.7 forums. Im too lazy to post a link.
