I dropped in and out throughout the day. It was a nice build imho, and a bit of a novelty to be in a large group of (predominently) UK users... but the "experience" wasn't much different from being in any of a hundred SL clubs. Possibly slightly less interesting, in fact, as there didn't really appear to be any hosts steering the event. At least in your average SL club, there'll be a "hawtest babe in leather" contest to vote on every couple of hours...
The streaming video didn't work for me towards the end of the show - I ended up logging out of SL altogether and going and watching via the bbc web site when a band came on that I was actually interested in seeing.
There wasn't really much connection between the live event and the SL event - I don't think the SL event - and the people there - really got any "official" recognition at all, other than as a news page on the tecchie bits of the BBC's web site.
So... yeah... bit disappointing, really.
