I’m noticing a trend of late on the forums. In the rules that govern these forums it states PG content. Yet I’m seeing not only rampant swearing all over many topics, but also adult conversations that are WAY out of line for PG rating.
To discuss and debate things that are happening in game, is one thing. To come to the site and describe things in detail of sexual or a mature nature, that just seems to be out of line to me.
I’m not a prude by any means, however there is a time and place. Is this site, where the rules are clearly stated, the place for such things?
No, I’m not saying, “BAN it all”, I’m simply wondering what others think of this trend.
With the elimination of the SL Forums pending, is this a sign of what’s to come on the 3rd party sites SL is telling us to turn to?

IMHO, I think since we're all adults, we can skip over what we don't want to read. If you are at work reading the forums, consider them X rated incase someone posts something that could get you in trouble at your workplace.

I am sure there are those that will have more disrespectfull posts that others. There are those that have members who operate with respect and dignity though. But although the rules say that, they are not enforced that way. Even a direct "f you" to someone else will not be enforced, depending on who said it. coco _____________________

I've noticed that people in second life seem to think that PG means the same as G.
Last time I checked cussing and risque conversations were ok in PG movies. This isn't Disneyland. _____________________

I seem to recall a point where there was clarification such that swearing in general was not a reportable offense. Pg & mature are used to signify different levels of content but since this forum is a restricted site and SL is supposed to be 18 and over (hehe
 ) then it's more along the line of not having "X" rated material here._____________________
