Why were chat logs allowed in this thread? It is apparent that the forum moderator visited this thread, not once, but at least twice...

here is the thread..
/invalid_link.html

I just want to know why it was acceptable here in this case?

any ideas?

I scrolled through, looking for the typical chat log...

You: Hi
Me: Hey
You: How's it going?

Etc. I found nothing like that, so I scrolled back up to find what you were talking about. Since the chat logs are entered in as quotes, maybe the moderator missed it as well.

I have never seen this rule enforced

not even once

perhaps this rule has outlived its usefulness

or perhaps enforcement should occur

I remember reading those quotes in the forums before; they weren't chat logs.

I apologize, the chat logs were overlooked and have since been removed. I have posted the relevant section of the Community Standards below in regards to the posting of Chat logs:

Sharing personal information about a fellow Resident --including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, and real-world location beyond what is provided by the Resident in the First Life page of their Resident profile is a violation of that Resident's privacy. Remotely monitoring conversations, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without consent are all prohibited in Second Life and on the Second Life Forums.

Thank you for your response... I was not sure if it were in "certain cases" or simply overlooked... thanks :)

Sensual the helpful thing that's been recommended is, if you see something that's against the guidelines here, you can press the /!\ icon that corresponds with that post and that will, well, get Jeska's attention. If in doubt best to ask too! :)
