I went into SL briefly yesterday after the downtime, changed my clothes a couple of times, as is my wont, and ended up in a rather nice number by Ambyance2 Anubis which has a fluffy blue furry top and a pair of matching trousers and boots which I made myself. Logged in this morning and I am wearing what looks like a rather natty bodysuit of the fetish kind, with matching gloves and shoes. But look a little closer... what is written on my legs, feet, back of my arms? Why, it is the login bar, plus "Thank you for your continued patience" written in Lindenspeak. I am wearing the login screen! I would change, it DOES look very fetish...but if the Lindens wish me to go out as a human messenger into SL, who am I to change that? Heh. Looks like something didn't share your video card's texture memory properly.
You can probably just change an appearance slider or two to rebake it. Logging out or teleporting might even do the trick.

Yup, I had this happen to me months ago back under 1.6 - I can't remember exactly if I took a snapshot or hit printscreen to copy to the clipboard... However it happened, my pants became the screenshot.
Whenever I right clicked myself and went into the appearance menu, it corrected it. When I left the appearance menu, I went back to wearing screenshot-pants.

Fashion and philosophy sense deteriorating...

Another day, another outfit...but I think the fashion monitor at LindenLabs has gone on holiday. This morning I was still wearing my rather nice Jennyfur skirt. But even when I took it off, it was possible to see the suit I was wearing had been provided by LindenLabs. Unfortunately, someone though it was a good idea to experiment with leaving off the back of one leg. It doesn't work people! Give me back my dignity!
The message "Thank you for your continued patience" was one I felt I could take out to the wider community and I did, going to Ahern to spread the message among my fellow players. The message "If you received an object yesterday..." which seems unfinished, I feel less sure about disseminating. I will have to finish it: "If you received an object yesterday..." which promised untold wealth and riches...don't be a fool, delete it.
Maybe I can write this on the back of my leg in marker pen?

That happened to me a couple of times lately. It happened when I alt-tabbed out of SL, and back in, while my clothing was still baking/rezzing. I wound up wearing bits of the user interface.
You can get rid of it by changing any clothing item in the affected body area, including clothing items that don't show (stockings, underwear), or by putting on a different skin.
