My friend wants to get on Second Life but it doesn't take Discovery Cards, what gives? is there another way she can get on?

I find it hard to believe that Discover card is the only credit card this person has, and if it is, they should be used to no one taking it.  Does she have another card she can use? A check card even? I thought discover cards were only in commercials. |

If she doesn't have a Paypal account, tell her to go to her bank and get a debit card that is either Mastercard or Visa.

Lots of people have Discover because they got the card through Sears back when they were doing the "Turn your Sears card into Discover" thing.
And many people prefer not to use credit at all, but have an occasional need for a credit card for things like this where it's only used for establishing they're financially accountable. When I was in college Diners Club was the non-credit-card of choice, but Discover seems common now.

Curiously, how the hell did you get paypal to work? I tried that and ended up with a warning that it failed and I have seven days to sort out!!! I would love them to take switch

Dumped em and moved back to a nice standard visa card.
