From: someone Second Life will be down for maintenance on Tuesday, 12/6, from 4AM Pacific through noon Pacific. During this time we will be updating the software to address new performance improvements. In addition, we will be making some significant hardware changes. During the first phase we will be installing new power distribution units, necessitating a complete shutdown of all servers, including those that support the website, for about 30 minutes. Subsequently, we'll be re-racking the Isilon servers. During this second phase the forums and currency exchange will be accessible, but the balance of the website (including the creation of new accounts) will be inaccessible. Second Life will continue to be inaccessible during this phase. Thanks for your patience while we make these improvements! Best, Robin Linden
Looks like we have time to go out and see the sun that day. EDIT: ummm Hold it!! The 7th is on a Wednesday lol. looks like poor Robin needs some rest. Edit2: Fixed

What is the deal? Taking the grid down for 1 day in 7 lately? Seems like an unreasonable frequency to be pulling the grid offline.

I edited the post to say the 6th but the Thread name sill says the 7th. It will not let me fix that.

Time travel, it does strange things to people. Makes wonders out of mere ordinals and calculates alphabets as if they were numbers!
