I have been in game for over 2 years now, and I have built quite a bit of objects since then. One of the things that makes the game fun for me is releasing freebies into the grid, and seeing how people use, recreate and learn from them.

But there is one thing that has been nerving me for quite some time that often causes me to wish that I never did that.

I must get at least 5 - 10 hate IM's a week from people who see the Super Car I created crashed into a tree, or a house I released in the sandbox. They feel it is their right to IM me and to tell me to "clean up my S**T" or "Stop littering up the sandbox".

Most of the time they dont even give coordinates to where it is, but I know I haven't flown the Cheese Jet in over a year and I definately didnt crash it into their mountain.

I have even gotten IM's from Lindens who tell me to stop selling things in the Sand Box.

It is sad that people will take their time to rip on someone they never met, but will not take the time to look at the owner of the object (which is nicely located right under creator).

While I am on the subject, I released Freebies into SL to help people make their way in the game. If they chose to sell a freebie, I really don't want to get IM from people saying that "someone is selling your stuff". All I ask to those who resell is that they keep the permissions the same, but I don't persue it under a strict GNU Liscence.

I think I will continue to put freebies out at my store for now, because the majority of people in SL are pretty cool (in their own sick demented way). Let's just remember to keep it friendly.

Summer is almost over, and the intern liaison's would have to move on. It's amazing how less they know of SL =)
