Can anyone recommend... (new to SL)

Hi all,

I've been in SL now for a few weeks and really love the places, ideas and general creativity I've seen. I've figured out the basic concepts in regarding to moving around and using items and skins and whatnot but theres alot of things in this program that I'm finding rather daunting and I'm not having much luck finding reference material or FAQ/How to's anywhere.

I'm not sure this is the right forum to ask (looked at some of the other sub forums but they seem more technically oriented and not so much for basic newbie questions) but can anyone recommend a web site or two that can describe the how to's? I've been trying to figure out how animations work (other then clicking on objects or those pose balls) and I'm stumped. I've bothered the few friends I've met in world enough so I thought I'd ask in here in the hopes that I can read what I need to know while Im slacking at work in my 1st life

Most of us just buy them and place them in AO's, hit me up in game and I'll explain better ; )

I believe there's a program someone made specificly for SL anims. I think it's at www.avimator.com Also, at pixel dolls, in one of the stores, there's a great video of how to add your animations to an AO. If you need a LM, IM me.

I have a notecard I made up with landmarks to some in game tutorials on several topics. I will drop a copy on you so you can check them out.

Thanks for the replies. Any help I can get without bothering the busy folken in SL is much appreciated. Its been a lonnnnggg time since I did any online virtual chat or building type of program (Worlds chat and Alpha World) but I can definitely say SL is simply amazing and I'm enjoying myself so far in finding my way in this fantastical place.
