Sierra Entertainment has made the multiplayer component from the award winning PC title F.E.A.R (First Encounter Assault Recon), has been renamed F.E.A.R Combat, and is available for download Today, Thursday August 17th.

I have never understood combat in SL.. SL has some great strong points but fighting is not one of them, it is usually too one sided. That said FEAR Multi will prolly kick ass and be a riot. It works fine for me, allways has, even set at the highest settings. That having been said, I'm not sure but I think this is the first time a major game company has offered its games multiplayer componet for free. _____________________

Zips along on my 9800xt.. np.. once I turn off Soft shadowing that is.. full detail otherwise at 1024x768. In single player I have to turn off Slowmo effects to avoid horrible mouse lag).. MP rocks too on the right servers.. though some maps are far to small and there is an aweful lot of Spawn camping which is just flaw in the spawning system and not griefers in my opinion.. if I had my way Id add a stamina metre to stop the bunny hopping, and a few other weapons.. it is the first online game though that does justice to the hand gun IMO.. you can really kick arse with it once you get the hang of it.. slowmo mode online sucks ARSE.. gonna get the SDK later and check it out.. could be a keeper  _____________________

Well the 5 series card was never very good =(, I know I had one. At least till the 5700 Ultras then it became a decent card. You can snag a 6800 pretty cheap these days, and pretty soon the 7800's will be cheap too. |
