Hi y'all, just a few questions since I'm not able to figure out how to get back in to SL proper. 1. Is Mozilla really any good? 2. How do I update my drivers? I'm SERIOUSLY C.I. and can't figure it out 3. Where are the best places to make money? 4. Why did my land disappear after I bought it? I was there once and can't get back! 5. Where can I sell my extra things, or, do I have to delete them if they weren't of my making? I'm sure I'll have more soon lol. I'm REALLY bumming that I can't get my SL fix right now

1. FireFox uses Mozilla engine, but for now it's jst a pretty looking help page in SL. 2. If you have ATI, go to ati.com. For nvidia, go to nvidia.com. Both have driver download sections, usually either in "downloads" or "support." Just download the newest driver listed for your card, run it, and it should take care of installing itself. (or ask for more detailed info if you're still not clear on this). 3. Hard to say. For quickie stuff, look around for casinos and such. I usually hang out around Moonshine Herbst's places, since he has camping chairs for newbies, free slots, etc. If you mean long-term, as in being able to make a constant flow of money, go to a store you like, find out who owns it, IM the owner, and ask to talk to them about their business. I'm sure many people will be friendly enough to tell you how things work here 4. (no clue?) 5. Sorry, most of the stuff you have everyone probably has already, too. You can only sell stuff if someone is willing to buy it off of you. It's essentially a real economic trading market here, not just a weapons/gold/items exchange like in other games. If the items bug you, I'd just delete them. If they don't, my suggestion is to pull them out, see how they were built, and use them to practice building your own stuff. Mostly just remember to have fun

Works great with SL Drivers are here: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=640Download the one that says Catalyst Control Center Package, which is 2 of 3. That's all you really need. Just run that thing, install it, reboot, and you should be set.

Wow.. you people are great to be so helpful.
As for the land thing. I almost lost track of mine too. When you get back in to SL up in the top tabs (I think under your account info) you should be able to find a tab my land. Bring up that option and you should find an option to teleport to your land.
I know that is kind of vague... but I am not in SL right now, and kind of a newbie myself. Hope it helps.

If for some reason you've forgotten (or don't know how to tell) what hardware you have, google lavalys Everest. Download the Home Edition, but don't do it from the corporate site because it has been discontinued. It is a free product. Run it and it will show you every piece of hardware in your box. Good luck.

As you explore make landmarks so you can return to places you enjoy. Just have fun for awhile and maybe later you'll find a niche as you discover your liking for building, scripting, etc. It's really not a nice thing to sell things that you got for free, so don't do that, but if you bought things that were transfer-enabled you can sell them. Go to Numbakulla, Seacliff, Svarga, Chaos, Navora, Grignano, ElvenGlen and a million other places to see the sights. Take a beginner's building class.
WELCOME!
