A person gave me a HUD and said it was flight assist. When I attached it, it locked up my SL, now I can't even log in anymore without SL locking and crashing. This HUD has essentially locked my avie. What can I do?

You might try clearing your cache and logging into a different place.

Do you get as far as the login screen?

Got it now, luckily it took up the whole screen and through all of the lag I right clicked and clicked where the detach button would be, worked.

Ive also ran into problems involving HUD attachments crashing SL. I havent been able to pointpoint the problem, as I am a complete LSL novice. All I can suggest is that if you crash almost immediatly after logging in, as quick as you can, right click your AV > Detach > More > Detach All.

You'll be nekkid for a couple seconds, but you wont crash anymore (from your HUD at least).
