I was talking to someone the other day and she said that SL had boosted her profile as a musician in RL and she's now being asked to do interviews for major magazines. Cool! Anyone else doing anything enviously interesting in SL that's changed their RL big time?

Well apparently being a sim manager, community leader, and internet radio DJ in SL has apparently made me a well known figure in the furry community. Spent the first 2 days of Anthrocon 2006 shaking hands and talking with people who've met me in SL or listened to my radio show. In all honesty, it was a real mind f*ck for me because I never thought I'd became that well known.

The press seems to be all over the map lately. U2 in SL (www.U2inSL.com) got alot of exposure on the net the past months. They were contacted by MTV/VH1, Wired Mag, Washington Post, major U2 websites and whoever not. It's all good, because of that "fame" Second Life and ONE.org, MakePovertyHistory.org and the likes get alot of exposure too.

BTW Tilly/Kitty/tifftoff, aren't you the journalist for the "UK women's mag"? Can you stick to one avatar name please? It's getting confusing! :D

Ron who?

I keeeeed!!

Personally, I couldn't think of anything worse than being subject of an article in a paper/magazine/website/whatever, but some people obviously thrive on it. If I had a little more confidence in the media to not use so much 'artisitic licence', then maybe it could be something fun to do. I think that's asking a little too much tho :D
