I just thought of something rather creepy. This downtime situation with Second Life reminds me of that episode of the Twilight Zone where this small neighborhood is separated from the rest of the world by aliens in order to test their ability to keep sane without running cars, electricity, et cetera. Sadly, everyone went crazy and attempted to kill a small boy. *Ahem* Moving on. This is all a test by aliens! We must remain calm  |

either that, or the lindens have taken the grid down to play high speed quake arena

I agree, and you know what else is unique? When I was in Preview Grid, I kept commenting how it was truely like a parallel world... I said Twilight Zone too! Even, or something like Stephen King's "The Langoliers". What an odd sensation. |

I was thinking how weird it'd be to be a Linden and be in world only with other Lindens and wondered what sims would look like, and thought of Langoliers. |
