I am new to SL, only been here since September. I have found there are a number of attachments that can be added to an avatar, some of which are well....rated. Question I have is this. Can these attachments have the name changed so they can not be identified as to what they are either in the inventory or as you move from one area to the other when you have them attached, without affecting how they work. Thanks. Would appreciate a private message on this if possible.

This is a legitimate question and the answer may be a benefit to any new users, so I'm posting publicly.
Any attachment, rated or not, can have its name changed if the creator specified "modify" permission in the next-owner permissions block. If it says (no modify) next to the name of the attachment in your inventory, then you may be out of luck on this one, AFAIK. Another way to peek at the permissions set for the object is to right click on it in your inventory and select "Properties." Good luck!

Want to thank everyone for their answers....smiles....believe it or not (I know you do't believe me...LOL) but this was really for someone else not me. Glad the answer was put public...It is helpful regardless of the type of attachment. Yeah Enabran...nice alternative name...hehehehehehehehe
