Can anyone explain this?

I was flying around playing with the new HUD idea and stuck a "Scrubbie 2" into one of my HUD attachment points and a basic altimerter/speed HUD on another HUD attachment point. I also had a jetpack on my spine - and it had a speed-altimeter HUD...

When I flew into Newcomb, the HUDs all stopped working - no more updates for any of the info except after crossing the sim border line and leaving that no script area.

HOWEVER, while I was in Newcomb, I could change the speed of my jetpack including turning it on/off so long as I did not land. Even after I landed, I could turn the jetpack on or off, change the speed mode - but its associated HUD failed to update until I left that sim.

So, the question is.. why would the jetpack - outside of its HUD - continue to function in the no script area whle the HUDs cease to work?

No-script doesn't affect vehicles unless they're rezzed in the no-script area. The HUD on the other hand, isn't a part of the vehicle, and is therefore affected.

Root prims of attachments also get a certain amount of protection from no-scipt-ness. Child prims appearantly do not, which rather sucks.

Odd, though, that the Scrubbie would have stopped working, being a single prim. I'll have to go experiment and see. I'm thinking "bug" here.

Did ya'll have to redo the scrubbie values so it doesn't always say "OMG FLEE THE SIM IS GONNACRASH!"
