I saw a thread a couple of days ago on the topic of preventing spying. Of course now I can not find it.
I have a problem with a person who is wearing one of those "invisible" devices and taking pictures. How can I detect this person? (I do own a multi-gadget) - And I do have security systems up.
Any and all suggestions gladly accpeted.

Just do a search on "Spy" in the classified.
Peopel actually sell objects to make it so you can spy on people.

TY Your multi-gadget should show you who is around so that you'll know their name, invisible or not. Ban them from your land, and set up your security system to tp them home if they cross onto your land. They'll eventually get the idea I think. This works best of course if you have a fair amount of land. One of the unfortunate facts about SL is that it's really hard to get much privacy on a 512m or even 1024m lot.

Unfortunately, banning them does not prevent their camera zooming in on your property, even past the walls of your home. Unless you own enough land to place your residence well inside your property lines and out of camera range from that property line, there is no way to prevent anyone spying on you.

This is indeed a problem and one of the reasons why I own a lot of land. I like my privacy. When it comes to keeping them off when you have a smaller amount of land, the tp home can still be useful if they make the mistake of wandering too close over your property, and aren't savy enough to understand the limits.

Is one that claims you can log chat of avs 700 Meters away .. Be careful with this one, it's a ToS violation and could get you in trouble. On a side note, why do you care if they take pictures? I would just ignore them myself.

thanks all fro the info
as to an issue of pictures being taken - some people are not exhibitionist - some are - but privacy should be respected both in SL and RL
Banana now jumps off his soap box in and goes in search of beer
