Wow. if SL backtracks and decides not to delete the forums, you guys are all fucked. :P

As an aside though, I'm gleefully enjoying watching the dissolve-ment of the former lines of power and control. I knew you guys were all pot-smoking hippies on the inside. :)

I don't know, I think this place could be quite useful with moderators who understood the job and the responsibility that goes with it.

It's unfortunate that the resmods who were pressganged into doing the job didn't step back and let those who were interested and qualified to do so take it up.

Then perhaps they wouldn't have degenerated into the mess that they are, with Linden Lab deciding to dump them.

Lewis, I don't know how young you are, but I'm going to let you know that you don't need special Linden Labs training to moderate a forum. Yes that's the truth.

The only difference between mods here and elsewhere is that these mods HAD TO FOLLOW the guidelines, which would not exist on another forum.

I have more than enough experience with forum work to be able to undertake the task effectively, yes.

34 tomorrow, not that it's any of your business.

Moderators have a very important task, to be taken seriously, otherwise they shouldn't be doing it.

There are few guidelines here but they were not applied evenly or fairly, as many documented cases have shown.

You are implying that just cause they moderated this forum they should be made moderators on another forum cause they know more than anyone else to moderate a SL forum?

but your opinions are too strong

it would be foolish to give someone with opinions as strong as yourself power

you would lose control quickly and things would turn very personal very quickly

the same goes for me as well, btw

but that is why you would be an atrocious choice as a res mod, despite your considerable "experience"

and before you deny it

yes you would!

Lewis, you do know that there ar ResMods who volunteered for the position, right? like me.. i volunteered, was accepted and have been one ever since.. with the exception of a couple weeks when i was removed from the pool due to how they were trying to run the program. i was then asked if i would like to come back, which i said yes to.

also, i am honestly curious as to if you think i have done such a horrible job. have i been unfair in your eyes? inconsistent? i'm not trying to rile you up.. i'm being serious. i like to hear criticism and then if i have made mistakes, i can be made aware and adjust accordingly if need be.
