There was once a family of 3 BillyFurs Gruff (well actually it was one BillyFur and two alts...) that loved to graze on the grass in SecondLife, on one side of an issue. One day the smallest BillyFur (a noob TinyFur alt actually...) looked off in the distance and saw the verdant green that was the other side of the issue and decided to trot over and graze there instead - cuz it looked really delicious! The only problem was, the littlest BillyFur had to cross the forums over an insanely deep abyss to get to the other side, and there these nasty trolls who lived under the forums, who disdained both sides of the issue and would wait until things were quiet and then leap on unsuspecting innocents on the forums and flame them excruciatingly.
So the littlest BillyFur watched the forums carefully, noting the trollish activities and drooling for the other side. One day he screwed up his nerve and made a dash across the forums, bleating "can someone help me?" and hoping the trolls wouldn't get him. The trolls leapt out and pounced on him gleefully preparing to flame him. He cowered on the forums and cried out " please mighty FIC trolls! I'm so tiny and inconsequential! I really have no opinion of my own! You should wait and flame my older alt er I mean BillyFur, he's much more opinionated than I!" With that the trolls promptly ignored him and he raced off to the other side of the issue, where sure enough it was even tastier than he had imagined!
The second BillyFur (who was really a Gorean stealth alt in Fur skin) saw his other alt, er brother grazing contentedly on the other side of the issue across the forums and decided to join him. Now This BillyFur was more experienced than the LittleFur, so he set off across the forums to join him. He was almost across after having delightful discussion with a nonFur, when the trolls leapt out and pounced! The poor nonFur was confused and was instantly flamed by the trolls. The second BillyFur stood his ground and said, "truthfully my opinion here really doesn't matter, and I'm just here to have fun, but you should check out my main, er eldest brother - he has strong opinions and fancies himself an expert!" To which the trolls singed him a little for being uppity and then ignored him. He crossed over and grazed contently with his brother.
Now the main, er I mean the Biggest BillyFur was watching the trolls and decided he'd join his alts, er brothers on the other side as well. So he strolled across forums and was nearly across when the trolls gleefully pounced on him flames at the ready. HA! we've heard of you and now you're ours! And the flames engulfed the Biggest BillyFur. He stood unconcerned and untouched as the flames roared around him. When the trolls finally paused he nodded and said, " your contributions are appreciated and will be taken into consideration". At which he pushed past the trolls and off the forums. Suddenly he stopped and turned with a smile. "You know things ARE much better over here, so we don't need these forums anymore!" At which the forums disappeared, sending the trolls tumbling and yelling into the abyss, calling out "who are you to remove the forums like that?!" To which he smiled and said, "Silly trolls - I'm Phillip!"
Moral of the story - trolls never get the respect they think they deserve!
