Hard to quantify what I create.
So, I'll say I consume a lot more. But I do like to believe I give back. (Does "build" include scripting, clothing making, sound creation, etc.?) _____________________

The main attarction to the game is buidling and scripting. I'veonly been in it a while, so right now i am amassing textures (mostly uploaded), animations (mostly bought, and without copy permissions), and scripts (it's easier for me to tinker with a script and learn it than do the wiki).
So in essence i consume mostly to build.  I'm loving the things i end up with though. |

I cant answer this. You need a third choice. I do build a lot, but I am not good at everything. When I want something but I also know of someone who makes that much better than I would be able to, I buy it. There are even other animation shops I would visit just because they took the time to do something I like but I just dont feel like doing it myself.
When I do feel like buying some thing, I often tend to look into shops with creaters who I know have gave me some business. I think a lot of this goes on. _____________________

I create a lot, but I also go on shopping splurges once every few weeks. It's usually things I've seen here in the New Products section. I flip back through it to check who made the items I thought were groovy and where they're at. I'll go spend a few thousand, then go back to being a hermit. _____________________

I buy stuff mostly, I can build but usually it's for someone in specific, and usually for free. I find it hard to motavate myself to run a business in SL.
