*rubs eyes * *sips coffee* well it is morning here on the east coast of the states. but if your from another part of the world then... good afternoon good evening or good night to you.  so is everyone as excited about the 1.7 release as i am ? i hope each and every one of you has a spectacular day, afternoon, or night lol and if figures i am off from my real life job tomorrow while the world will be off line *shivers at the thought* oh what will i do with out second life all day !!!  _____________________

I am very pleased that LL honored my request to schedule the downtime during the hurricane when I won't have any power anyway.
(That is how they picked the date, isn't it?)Before you get too excited, you should know that for a few days after an update, things can be a little screwball. Typically its hard to get logged in at first, and it can be laggy. Plus there will be bugs that they missed in the preview. So I prefer to wait two or three days after an update before I even try. I'm looking forward to 1.7. It addresses some very naggy (not laggy) things at last, and that instills a lot of hope and joy in me. I've enjoyed spending considerable time on Preview, and even though there'll be new bugs to squash that come up along the way, there'll always be. As long as we can keep going forward, we won't be going backwards! _____________________

(Just had a scary thought: I wonder what the implications will be of lots of people with gigantic inventories all doing mass-deletes?) Ninja Edited to add: Yay 1000! _____________________

Sorting inventory just got a whole lot better! It's amazing how much the simple, routine things matter, huh? Same goes for the Region dropdown autocomplete, the Clear Cache button, new way to Open boxes, etc. _____________________
