I wanted to buy something called glass insulators, but nobody had any
(same for all the Aussie stuff, hardly any Aussie anything out there).
anyway... because they're a fairly simple shape, I set about making them
myself.

Well after I made the first one, I stuck it on the top of a pole which has a
bee hive with bees coming out, on it... looks nice and rural.

(yeah where is all the farm gear, windmills, milking equipment... some of
us dream about having our own farms too)

anyway, I had made another days later, but while working on it, something
slipped a little and the darn thing began floating upwards... up up and away,
I followed it up and tried to grab it, but it vanished and appeared where it
originally was, as though nothing had happened.

And then, hours later, the earlier insulator, on the pole... fell off and plopped
onto the ground.

(I think a bee may have pushed it)

I think our island is haunted, I'm scared...
I'm just a poor lonely werewolf... arrroooooOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!!!!!

No ghosts, just normal hazards of actually building something. And you got a good story out of it, as well!

I can't remember the guys name, but if you look on the main world map, somewhere on the mainland, you will see the shape of the US state of Texas with a star on it. If you go there, you will find a great looking farm with, if I recall correctly, a windmill and other farm implements you can buy. You can also try a search for general store, as I believe he has one there.

Welcome to SL, glad you are enjoying the ride.

For the record, this is the kind of posting that we will miss once the forums are killed. That is very sad. I sincerely hope LL reconsiders their decision and looks to other successful MMO's that have managed to keep their forums going just fine.

That happened to me a couple weeks ago. I was in a store and then I started to drift.... No shock right? Except i was drifting upward like a balloon, and stuck in the falling-long-distances animation and it wouldn't stop until I relogged. o_O

Strangely enough, this very same thing happened to me and a few friends?

We were standing around my property and all of a sudden were being lifted up into the air.

The only way to stop it was to use the down arrow key and then quickly SIT on something.

It makes me wonder if a new anti-gravity device script was being tested by someone?

There seems to be some kind of client side drifting bug, I've seen benches in the WA floating around before.
