Can you be involuntarily teleported away by another player?

Last night a few friends and I were at a quiet club having a good time when a dork came in and started doing handgun shooting and light sabre animations and generally being a pest to our group. After bugging us for a while and refusing to leave us alone suddenly two of the five in our group teleported away to (seemingly) random spots.

I was one of the people ported and there were no dialogs or clues about why I teleported.

Is it possible the annoying person did this to grief our fun?

I do not believe this person was the owner of the sim.

You can be Sent Home by land owners and group land officers. If you're in Damage Enabled zone you will be sent home when your health reaches 0.

Linden can force-port people to their location. Its kind of disorienting!

Strong enough pushes can seem like a teleport; your system doesn't even try to keep up with the passing terrain until you come to a stop.

:)

Odd, we were not sent home, it seemed like we were knocked right out of the sim.

It sounds like a push weapon then. If you get pushed hard enough it seems like you simply disappear and reappear in another sim.

That sort of behaviour, you can abuse report - all pushes against you turn up in one of the menus... (can't remember exactly which one).

I have been given such a hard push sometimes that the world freezes (for me) and parts of scenery disappear before *baff*, I'm suddenly 2km in the air.

Then I attach my FuckAllYall9000 on the way down to make a witty retort.

Help > View PVP Abuse, I think.

I have been hit with a push so hard that I hit 500,000,000+ meters instantly and then my client crashed.

There is one particular coward that hangs out in Rausch who uses it from hiding all the time.

Push guns are easy. I'll see if I can hook you up with one.

I use mine in Rauche from time to time but I'm usually hovering right out in the open, and I prefer to use my other attacks, the orbit is for people who piss me off by being outright vulgar et al.

Sounds like a anti physics bomb. Their easily make. I don't recomend it though cuz EVERYONE gets hurt. >.> If your in a sim full of greifers that orbited you, it's a fun way of revenge though. :p

OH HO! shoot me huh?! *attach* BOOM!

Whenever I go to Rausch, I use my non-phys movement. Sure, my shield isn't a top of the line one, I'm no combat vet or major shooter, but push annoys the hell out of me. Nonphys movement defeats push so those orbitting attacks don't bother me while I try out my new toys from time to time.
