First off, let me apologize in advance if you feel this post belongs in an existing thread. I'm still a newb to the SL way of doing things, so bear with me.
I've been out of SL for about a week now with a computer that has had to have its memory pulled and returned. I'm expecting to be back on by the weekend. As such, I still have the 1.6 client installed on my hard drive. Given the woes with 1.7, albeit to be patched on Thursday, would it be ok for me to try to log in with the 1.6 client? Will SL let me in, or will it say no and direct me to download/install the new client? Jus' curious. Thanks in advance for any insight.

From: Bobo Ogopogo will it say no and direct me to download/install the new client? That's exactly what it will do.

From: Enabran Templar That's exactly what it will do. Not only that, it'll download and install it for you without asking you to go to a web page or anything.
