so I am asking here and opening it up to discussion

question: If a premium member downgrades there account to basic are they considered a "NEW" basic member and loose there stipend all together?

question: if said member down grades to basic then up grades back to premium what will there stipend be?

I believe it's determined by the start date of your account, so you should be grandfathered in for stipends. I don't know this for sure, I'm basing it on the fact that at one point I upgraded to premium and then downgraded back to basic, and I can still own land as a basic member because when I started basic accounts could tier.

the main problem is i was told at one point by a linden that it makes no difference if you down grade your creation date is the over riding factor that determines your stipend.

then yesterday i was told by another linden that if you down grade you will be considered a NEW resident and the new stipend policy will prevail.

here lies the problem i have advised residents previously telling them what the first linden told me.
and now I have been informed that this is in fact not the case so some official clarification on this matter is indeed needed.

The Lindens frequently dissagree. You have to ping both of them with what the other said, or bring it to torley's attention. Torley is good with issues like that.

Well.. here's what I heard from a friend. He downgraded his account (not sure exactly when this went into effect). He told me he did not get a stipend last week.
