I'm setting up a venue and want to be able to show the name of the song that's playing off of my ShoutCast stream using hover text over an object. I'm wondering if there's somebody who's already done this in the form of a looped script who would be willing to share the fruits of their labor.

Bascially, the script would check a Shoutcast info page (http://208.100.15.165:9914) and put the song title listed on that page as the hover text on an object.

Hi there,

Not sure if you are still looking for a script to display shoutcast stream information and previous played songs / playlist, but I've setup two free items at my shoutcast streaming store in Mauve to do just this.

Both use the new llHTTPRequest options and come either as a 3 prim ball using floating text to display the song info, or the large 61 prim display board using the xytext scripts.

Both are free and totally modifyable to suit your needs. Enjoy!
