I was wondering if the closing of the hubs meant the end of the welcome area. It looks like usual though.

Give it time, at some point fewer people will be entering SL at the WA.

People should at some point start to make use of the ability to enter SL based on an url rather than a forced home location without coming out at the nearest telehub.

I do understand there is stuff that goes on in the WA that should not at times. Though I am trying to figure out what your example in the picture is.

The other night I was at the WA as a mentor and there were two avies that were *desperately* trying to grief the crowd with giant hammers and various suposedly interesting transformations and effects and NO ONE EVEN CARED (or even looked around).

I took some pics in case someone wanted to file an AR or in case I had to later, but it was kind of sad. They eventually just gave up and went away. I found it hilarious that behaviour that would have spawned a zillion AR's and maybe a forum thread in the past was now just a piffling annoyance at best. :)

More evidence to me that all the ka-fuffle and hoo-ha over the WA in the past was mostly hot air and paranoia. The wildest thing I have seen there lately was someone (OMG!) *swearing*!!!

So people are still sending out textures of tubgirl without warning to new arrivals, making jokes about how you want to use the right lubricant for consensual anal sex, but when it's anal rape it doesn't really matter?

Still doing the Nazi salutes, having multi hour long harangues against Christians, Jews, Atheists, etc?

Still using macro programs to flood chat channel zero for over an hour?

Stilll making faggot jokes and nigger jokes and urging the death of towelheads?

Hmm. I guess maybe some things never do change.
